Our Calistoga Vineyard and Diamond Mountain vineyard shine proudly through
the wines we craft
Our single-vineyard wines are produced from vineyards located in two of the northern most Sub-Appellations of the Napa Valley AVA, both known for producing renowned Cabernet Sauvignon — Calistoga AVA and Diamond Mountain District AVA. The vineyard locations reflect some of the best terroir the Napa Valley has to offer for producing superior Cabernet Sauvignon.
Twin Palms Vineyard
We are immensely proud to own The Twin Palms Vineyard. Located in northeast Napa Valley, just southeast of downtown Calistoga, in the Napa Valley sub-appellation of Calistoga, the Twin Palms vineyard is bordered by Calistoga vineyards renowned for making some of the world’s finest Cabernet Sauvignon; the iconic Eisele Vineyard, Kenefick Ranch, Frediani Vineyards, and Kelly Fleming Winery and Vineyard.
Situated on the valley floor, the vineyard is protected by the Palisades Mountain range to the north and benefits from well-drained alluvial soils, a single climatic region characterized by hot days (which provide color and big berry fruit) and cool nights (which maintain good acidic balance for structure and power) and ample heat days supporting prolonged hang time for optimal maturation.
The Twin Palms vineyard was initially planted in 1997 to Syrah and grafted to Cabernet Sauvignon and three Bordeaux varietals in 2010. Like its neighboring vineyards the wine produced is a well-balanced combination of well-defined, concentrated flavors and develops in complexity with age.
Our Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from ultra-premium fruit sourced from Diamond Mountain.
Diamond Mountain is located between St. Helena and Calistoga in the northern most part of the Mayacama Mountain Range that forms the western rim of the Napa Valley. The particular hillside vineyard from which we source fruit is just over 2 acres situated on a bench, mid-slope on the Mountain and is in close proximity to some of the most renowned Diamond Mountain Vineyards: Diamond Creek, Diamond Terrace, Reverie and Von Strasser– all producers of superb and collectible Cabernet Sauvignon. The vineyard offers fine volcanic soil and gravel ranging from ash to richer red soils. The site was planted to vines in 1993.
