2014 Poggi Twin Palms Vineyard
Cabernet Sauvignon–Bordeaux Blend
Winemaker Notes
This wine is made in the Bordeaux-style. The addition of small amounts of Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Merlot add layers of rich, dark berry fruit and a nice level of complexity. Aged in 50% new and neutral French Oak barrels, this wine firms nicely mid-palate and is rich but not overpowering. Its deep saturated berry color gives this wine an excellent appearance in the glass. Drink it now and over the next 15+ years.

From 100% estate-grown Calistoga fruit, this tiny-production wine is well-composed in compost, grilled mushroom and meaty undertones, the sturdy structure and ripe body robust and integrated. Cinnamon and clove dot the lengthy finish. This wine will benefit from more time in bottle; drink best 2019–2024. Cellar Selection.
